Action: Edit file extension

With this action, the file extension can be edited (for example, to remove a double file extension, or to adjust the capitalization).

Renaming the file extension is not sufficient to change the file type. For this, usually a conversion program for the respective file types is needed.

There are several ways to modify the file extension. The following options can be selected:

  • Append file extension
  • Change file extension
  • Remove file extension
  • Change case
    • All lower case
    • All upper case
    • Capitalize first character only
    • Capitalize first letter only
  • Remove punctuation characters
